Happy Hour @ Chao Bistro on 12th

What we had
Spicy Tuna Roll
Seattle Roll
California Roll

The Good
The sauce on the Spicy Tuna Roll is amazing. I love it I've gone here twice for sushi happy hour and each time I'm shocked by the deliciousness of this sauce. I want to try more stuff off their happy hour menu.

The Bad
Every time I try to come in for happy hour they want to seat me at wierd places, they don't have seats for happy hour. I don't understand how they seat people for happy hour and why when there are like 5 people in the whole place we can't get seated for happy hour but for whatever reason they don't ever have enough.

Aoki Sushi @ Broadway

What we had
Sushi (2 pieces each)
Yellow Tail
Fresh wild-caught sockeye
smoked salmon
scallops
Unagi (sea)
Roll (6 pieces each)
Unagi (freshwater)
soft crabshell spider roll

The Good
Everything is fresh, wonderful, delicious, The scallops were esp. good. Mm. The unagi has a fantastic sauce. The soft crabshell spider roll was crunchy and so delicious. The yellow tail was tasty. Smoked salmon was still great but had a good smokey flavor.
Basically what I'm trying to say here is the sushi and rolls were all fantastic!

The Bad
it was packed out on a Tuesday night so service was a tiny bit slow but not too bad. There is not happy hour which makes me sad.

Kingfish Cafe @ 19th Ave

What we had
Pulled pork sandwich w/ fries
Cup o' Gumbo w/ cornbread
tea -- tasted like fingernail polish remover
coke -- came in a cold can with a cup of ice on the side (woot!)

The Good
The BBQ sauce was tangy and tasty. There was some kind of corn or vegi salsa on it that was crunchy and delicious. The fries were the best things ever! they were crunchy on the outside had a peppery spicy light breading, they were soft and hot on the inside. The service was impeccable. The bread on the sandwich was above average. The cornbread was ooooh so good. The food came FAST! I'm very excited about this restaurant. Like I said the Coke came in a can which was great.

The Bad
The iced tea tasted like alcohol and not the good kind. The gumbo was a little small but at 6.75 with a side of cornbread and lots of identifiable seafood I really can't complain too loudly.

The Deluxe @ Broadway

What we ate
Onion rings -- With chipotle dipping sauce.
BBQ burger -- Spicy sweet house made BBQ sauce, Tillamook` smoked cheddar cheese, crispy onions, green leaf & tomato.
Peppered Bacon & Cheddar Cheese Burger -- Tillamook` cheddar cheese, Green leaf, sliced tomato & red onion.
Iced Tea - Barnes & Watson Tahitian Blend
Dr Pepper - it was "Mr. Pibb"
7-up - it was "lemon-lime"

The Good
The food was abundant. There were giant piles of fries and onion rings. The burgers were large, fresh, and tasty. The service once we were seated was decent. I was offered a refill and it came quickly.

The Bad
We went for Burgerama so it was packed, there was a wait. It took awhile for them to take our orders and bring the drinks. The 7-up we ordered turned into lemon-lime soda by the time it got to our table and the Dr. Pepper turned into Mr. Pibb, we were not warned of this substitution.

South Lake Union Bar and Grill

What we ate
Garlic Buffalo Drummettes - Tossed with Frank’s garlic buffalo sauce. Served with cooling ranch dressing & celery sticks.
Western 1/2 Pounder - Cheddar cheese, bacon, frizzled onions, lettuce, tomato and zippy barbeque sauce.
Alaskan Cod & Chips - Beer Battered Alaskan cod, served with fries & coleslaw.
Grilled Wild Alaskan Sockeye* - Lemon-caper butter sauce, served with garlic mashed potatoes & seasonal veggies.
Iced Tea
Coke

The Good
The food was mostly delicious. The Fish from the fish and chips were phenomenal. The burger was wonderful. The Sockeye was perfectly delicious. Coke and Iced tea were in giant cups. Service felt a little bit random we talked to like 4-5 different people, but they did well overall.
Wings were also good just perfectly spicy.

The Bad
The french fries were too thin. Thin French fries have a tendency not to have any soft bits they are dry, slightly crunchy, and slightly hard. I did not like their French fries. The mash potatoes were just so-so and tasted slightly grainy, watery, and burnt. The side of vegetables consisted of broccoli and carrots while nicely cooked were also completely bland.

Dragonfish @ 8th and Pine

Went to dragon fish for Sushi happy hour.

What we ate
Poke Roll -- Ahi tuna, yama gobo, cucumber, Cilantro
Spicy Crab Roll -- Crabmeat, spicy masago mayo, cilantro, cucumber
California Roll -- Avocado, crabmeat, cucumber, masago, kaiware
Pike Place Roll -- Ahi tuna, mango, kaiware, cashews, cucumber
Coconut Shrimp Tempura Roll-- Shrimp, mango, kaiware, masago
Spicy Tuna Roll -- Tuna, spicy mayo, cucumber, masag
Hichimi Squid -- Tossed in hichimi flour, fried crisp, with garlic- sesame aioli
Iced Tea -- delicious kind of peachy.

The Good
Service was good, servers were nice. Drinks were cheap (but we had to drive). The Hichimi Squid was perfectly done and abundant. There were little rings of Squid and also whole little squid with curled up legs. All tasty.

The Bad
No sushi or Sashimi only rolls. The rolls themselves were relatively bland the sesame aioli that came with the hichimi squid was bland. The rolls didn't have enough fish in them and contained to much cucumber. The rice was pretty tasty. Mediocre sushi and not enough variety. I would go back for drinks though.
