High Five Pie (Capitol Hill)

What I had
Apple Pie (lattice top) with Molly Moon's Salted Caramel Ice Cream
Latte (fuel Coffee)

The Good
Latte was good
Salted Caramel Icecream was epic
Pie crust was buttery and flaky and warm (they let you choose whether it should be warm)
Pie was perfectly cooked the apples were just squishy and just firm enough.

The Bad
Apple Pie didn't have that extra spicy deliciousness.
They forgot part of my friend's order
The latte wasn't warm enough

What We Had
Chocolate Cupcake w/ Mint Frosting (Peppermint Part) Visit 1
Chocolate Cupcake w/ Salted Caramel Frosting (Salted Caramel) visit 2
Chocolate Cupcake w/ Chocolate Frosting (Triple Threat) Visit 3
Seasonal Cupcake (Pumpkin?) Visit ?

The Good
I especially love the salted caramel frosting. (My Favorite)
All across the board the cupcakes are moist and large, the frosting abundant. The service is great.

The Bad
3.25 for a cupcake seems a little much. But its wonderful so I keep coming back.

Edit
Last time I was there they cut down the amount of frosting they gave me. Grr.

Happy Hour @ Chao Bistro on 12th

What we had
Spicy Tuna Roll
Seattle Roll
California Roll

The Good
The sauce on the Spicy Tuna Roll is amazing. I love it I've gone here twice for sushi happy hour and each time I'm shocked by the deliciousness of this sauce. I want to try more stuff off their happy hour menu.

The Bad
Every time I try to come in for happy hour they want to seat me at wierd places, they don't have seats for happy hour. I don't understand how they seat people for happy hour and why when there are like 5 people in the whole place we can't get seated for happy hour but for whatever reason they don't ever have enough.

Aoki Sushi @ Broadway

What we had
Sushi (2 pieces each)
Yellow Tail
Fresh wild-caught sockeye
smoked salmon
scallops
Unagi (sea)
Roll (6 pieces each)
Unagi (freshwater)
soft crabshell spider roll

The Good
Everything is fresh, wonderful, delicious, The scallops were esp. good. Mm. The unagi has a fantastic sauce. The soft crabshell spider roll was crunchy and so delicious. The yellow tail was tasty. Smoked salmon was still great but had a good smokey flavor.
Basically what I'm trying to say here is the sushi and rolls were all fantastic!

The Bad
it was packed out on a Tuesday night so service was a tiny bit slow but not too bad. There is not happy hour which makes me sad.

Kingfish Cafe @ 19th Ave

What we had
Pulled pork sandwich w/ fries
Cup o' Gumbo w/ cornbread
tea -- tasted like fingernail polish remover
coke -- came in a cold can with a cup of ice on the side (woot!)

The Good
The BBQ sauce was tangy and tasty. There was some kind of corn or vegi salsa on it that was crunchy and delicious. The fries were the best things ever! they were crunchy on the outside had a peppery spicy light breading, they were soft and hot on the inside. The service was impeccable. The bread on the sandwich was above average. The cornbread was ooooh so good. The food came FAST! I'm very excited about this restaurant. Like I said the Coke came in a can which was great.

The Bad
The iced tea tasted like alcohol and not the good kind. The gumbo was a little small but at 6.75 with a side of cornbread and lots of identifiable seafood I really can't complain too loudly.
